Amy Schumer buys ‘Moonstruck’ townhouse for $11m (PICS)

Amy Schumer bought the townhouse featured in the romantic comedy Dreamer. The comedian reportedly paid $11 million for the townhouse, which was built in 1829.

Schumer has previously hinted at his move after he put his Manhattan penthouse up for sale for $15 million. “It’s pretty obvious where we’re going. If you leave this borough, which borough do people usually move to? It’s not rocket science,” she said at the time, according to The Wall Street Journal. She was talking about Brooklyn, of course, where exactly her new home is.

Much like his 114-year-old Manhattan property, his recently purchased townhouse in Brooklyn Heights also has a lot of history. The nearly 200-year-old house was featured in the 1987 film Dreamer with Nicolas Cage and Cher.

Sumptuous features include marble fireplaces, a double living room, antique wooden shutters and gated parking. Dirt points out that the latter is a rare commodity in the district.

The 5,500-square-foot townhouse features five bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms, as well as a kitchen with high-end culinary equipment perfect for her chef husband, Chris Fischer.
