Azure ventures into New South Wales with subtropical development of apartments and townhouses in Casuarina

Prominent Queensland developer Azure is branching out south of the border.

They have submitted plans for their first NSW project at 6 Grand Parade in Casuarina, the small coastal suburb south of Kingscliff.

Plans are for a “residential oasis inspired by subtropical colonialism”, which will include 91 apartments and terraces.

The project was designed to meet the demand for the designer residential product in the region.

Azure Director Trent Keirnan said the vision for the Grand Parade site is to provide something of lasting significance, which will create a bold take on the classic coastal lifestyle, with the group heading to the market of Casuarina at a time when demand for products in the region has peaked, as vacancy rates fall to a record low of 0.5%.

“The numbers show that vacancy rates are at an all-time low, underpinning the need for quality residences to meet the seaside paradise’s continued population growth,” Keirnan said.

“This is a rare opportunity to enter the Casuarina property market, so there is no doubt that our 6 Grand Parade project will be a unique development and a truly exclusive offering.”

Keirnan says the architectural design for the development will encompass eclectic Anglo-Caribbean and Island Colonialist styles, while incorporating aspects of Casuarina’s natural coastal environment, a relaxed village atmosphere and natural wellness and activity.

“Casuarina’s desirable coastal living characteristics and atmosphere will be embraced and celebrated in the design and development experience, including building sustainability,” he said.

The project will comprise four interconnected buildings centered around a subtropical courtyard pool area.

Three of its buildings will each rise to four stories, while the west building will rise only two stories, with a design characterized by a soaring colonnade and strong facades, with a coastal color scheme among a tropical landscape. .

The high-end project will be designed for the local and interstate homeownership market alongside vacation home investors.

Azure is a fully integrated company, with a building property management and maintenance division responsible for delivering over 900 homes across Queensland.

The group is currently building its Toowong One Earle Lane project, which comprises 94 one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom residences, due for completion in Q3 2024, as well as The Terraces in the Capestone area of Mango Hill.
