Carmelo Anthony’s Modern New York Condominium for Sale
NBA star Carmello Anthony has relisted his stunning $12.5 million Chelsea residence in New York City after redesigning the house, according to real estate firm The Agency.
A video shows the home’s refreshed look after being on the market for the same price in 2020 before the COVID pandemic hit, according to an Agency representative. The New York condo spans 4,556 square feet with five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
“The house now benefits from a complete refresh with a clearly defined flow and improvements ranging from an updated color scheme in the kitchen and selected spaces, polished stone throughout, designer lighting, oak floors solid white and quartered, and a custom slatted wood wall in the master bedroom giving it a spa-like retreat feel,” listing agent Aaron Seawood of Triplemint said in an email to the Sacramento Bee.
Located at 508 West 24th St. in the West Chelsea Arts District, the space is expansive and offers private outdoor space and city views.
The house is accessed by a private elevator with double door access to the north and south wing of the house. Ten foot high ceilings soar above solid cracks and quartered white oak floors. There are wall spaces to display private art collections. Whether your day includes comfortable relaxation or lavish entertainment, the spectacular South Wing is a must.
“This massive, full-story loft is one of a kind, a sanctuary that maximizes privacy and entertaining equally with two elevators opening to each wing of the home,” Seawood said. “I particularly love the flexibility of the space to accommodate a multitude of uses and the abundance of natural light from the north, east and south exposures from approximately 75 feet of casement windows overlooking the High Line. The terrace privacy is also a major asset.
A media room can be used for movie nights, with its bespoke bar, cigar cellar, and temperature-controlled 500-bottle wine cellar.
Residents of the luxury condominium are provided with a list of amenities, including a full-time doorman, state-of-the-art video intercom security system, fitness room, private storage, storage room, bikes and a huge common yard with gas grills.
“Apart from the serenity I feel in the great room, my favorite is the moody media room which was designed for the ultimate retreat to escape the hustle and bustle of the world with a wine cellar, cigar cellar and bar “, added Seawood. “And if that’s not your thing, the option of having another bedroom or working from home with a private spa bathroom is heavenly.
“Finally, this boutique building is sandwiched between premier art galleries in a side block of Chelsea’s arts district, simultaneously offering privacy and VIP access,” he added.
Anthony, 38, last played for the Los Angeles Lakers. He is a 10-time NBA All-Star.
