Text description provided by the architects. Casa Jardim Alto da Boa Vista is a condominium house surrounded by trees in a residential area. The houses are designed to ensure the comfort and security of a village. The architectural and landscaping projects have been designed in consultation, in order to create a unique ensemble that enhances the houses and the common areas of the condominium. In this process, our biggest challenge was to locate the twelve houses, the playground and the sports hall in a corner plot of 3,286 m2 on a rugged topography and a very irregular perimeter.

There are 12 houses in total, organized on 2 gently sloping plateaus, which overcome the 7m rugged topography. There are eight houses on the lower plateau and four houses on the upper plateau. Pedestrian access to the homes is due to rich and abundant landscaping permeating the entire grounds. The underground garage leaves the ground floor free for the use of residents and allows access to housing for pedestrians. The choice of materials is important to connect landscape and architecture.

Wood enters as a versatile and resistant element. Wooden benches, doors and breezes join the landscape and the architecture. Additionally, other colors and textures are present in the use of brickwork, cement board flooring and white cladding. Regarding the typology of the houses, there are three of them, with private areas ranging from 503 to 536m². On the ground floor, the living room, dining room and kitchen are fully integrated. In addition, the garden with swimming pool is a natural extension of the social area, for this reason the opening frame has the full width of the room.

On the first floor, we have designed a family room and three suites, each with a closet and a balcony overlooking the treetops. Balconies provide privacy and are also a natural protection against sun and rain. The roof functions as a wide terrace with a magnificent view of the treetops. As well as covered areas with possibility of multiple uses. In the basement is the laundry room, which has an open space, natural lighting and ventilation. In addition, each unit has four parking spaces and a storage room.
