Maryland woman finds squatters inside her apartment after returning from vacation [Video]

Authorities are looking for two squatters who have moved into a woman’s apartment.

On April 5, the unidentified victims said they were returning from vacation when they noticed their front door was damaged. The victims added that their apartment was largely empty when they entered. Greenbelt police say one of the victims rented the condo and the second victim was a friend who was staying at his home.

The victims told police they found two people lying on the bed. The suspects allegedly told one of the victims that they had taken all their belongings.

“Not only were they at my house. But everything in my house was gone except my bed because he details how he loved my bed so much,” the victim said. “And I’m like, who are you? And he says my name. It’s like you haven’t paid your rent. I say to myself, what are you talking about? I paid my rent.

The woman adds that the suspect became aggressive towards her as she attempted to leave the apartment.

“He tackles me and I tell him, ‘Sir, this is my house, you haven’t left, let me go,’ she explains. “He’s like, ‘No, I’m just saying you didn’t go and call the police. I’ll give you your apartment. You just didn’t go and call the police.

The victim told reporters that she still did not know where her belongings, worth around $50,000, were.

“I just couldn’t believe this was happening to me. I see it on TV,” she said. “They really took over my apartment and I was just trying to stay calm. But at the same time, I just couldn’t believe this was happening to me. I come home and literally two people are in my bed relaxing.
