RHONY’s Sonja Morgan puts her Upper East Side townhouse back on the market for $8.75 million

The The Real Housewives of New York star, 58, has re-listed her five-story Upper East Side Townhouse for $8.75 million after trying to sell the property for nearly a decade. Thomas Wexler of Leslie J. Garfield & Co. holds the current SEO.

“What makes Sonja Morgan’s townhouse special is that it is a beautiful condition elevator townhouse, designed with style and grace in a prime Upper East Side location. in New York,” Wexler told PEOPLE. “What more could one ask for?”

Sonja, who first listed the home for $9.95 million in 2013 amid her divorce from JP Morgan heir John Morgan, recently took it off the market last September, the New York Post reported. She was allowed to keep the townhouse in 2015 after settling a five-year bankruptcy case.

In 2018, designer Sonja by Sonja Morgan unveiled on RHONY that she rented the property for $32,000 a month, according to Cheer. She also had costars Tinsley Mortimer and Luann de Lesseps as guests.

She before moved into new excavations across Central Park, moving into an apartment overlooking Manhattan’s Columbus Circle in 2018.

Sonja admitted season 13 of RHONY that she was forced to abandon the apartment and move back to the townhouse at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic because she no longer had a tenant. “I’m a guest in my own house until it’s rented or sold,” she said at the time.

The 4,650 square foot townhouse features four bedrooms, five full and two half bathrooms, and multiple outdoor spaces to enjoy a rare slice of peace in the bustling city.

The front door opens into a bright hallway leading to the gallery and living room with mosaic hardwood floors, all bathed in natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows in the solarium. A set of French doors leads to a manicured garden with a fountain and koi pond.

On the second floor is a large dining room with a wood-burning fireplace under a marble mantle, as well as a kitchen diner with marble details and state-of-the-art appliances. Another room, which can be used as a bedroom or an office, has arched windows and Venetian plaster walls.

The third floor features the master suite, with a wood-burning fireplace, a living room filled with natural light, and a bathroom with a large walk-in shower, separate tub, and mosaic floors with a delicate floral pattern. The suite also opens onto a balcony which overlooks the garden below.

Another elegant bedroom is on the fourth floor with its own fireplace, a dressing room, a shower room and a spacious terrace. A separate bathroom has a walk-in shower and a bidet.

The top floor has two further bedrooms perfect for guests. The back bedroom has a marbled granite fireplace and wet bar. The front bedroom is equipped with a washer/dryer and a large walk-in closet.
