The seller had bought the townhouse for $680,000 four years ago, when the complex was six months old. Listing agent Shali Tark arranged many viewings, but buyers were in no rush to buy. After it became clear that interest rates would continue to rise, people started showing interest in the last two weeks of August.
Sellers received an offer from buyers who were looking to upgrade to a townhouse.
“They were motivated because it suited them well and the house was showing up well,” Ms Tark said.
