Price: $4.9 million

This four-story townhouse on the New Jersey The waterfront is right on the Hudson River and right in the middle of 42nd Street in Midtown Manhattan.

“The only thing between you and Manhattan is water,” said listing agent Jessica Williams, of Christie’s International Real Estate Northern New Jersey – Hoboken. “It’s as close as you can get, without being in Manhattan.”

“You can literally see all the lights in Times Square, the billboards, and all the car lights,” she said. “You get all of Midtown, all of Downtown and Hudson Yards – you get all of that too.”

The unit also has an unobstructed view of Lower Manhattan.

The single-story townhouse is in the Henley on Hudson community of luxury condominium apartments and townhouses, Ms Williams said.

The owner bought the townhouse in 2017 “after seven years of searching for the perfect waterfront view – and he found it,” she said. “All the real estate agents knew him. He came to every open day.

Townhouses are in high demand here, Ms Williams said. It is the largest in the town.

After purchasing the unit, the owner spent three years on a top-to-bottom renovation, she said.

The Hudson River Waterfront Walkway now connects Weehawken to the adjacent town of Hoboken, which has many popular shops and restaurants.

“Weehawken is becoming an extension of downtown Hoboken,” Ms Williams said. “You can walk or bike to dine in Hoboken, and Weehawken now has new restaurants.”

It’s an easy walk to a Whole Foods supermarket and the NY Waterway ferry, “and then it’s an 8-minute ride across the water to Manhattan,” she said.

The townhouse is also within walking distance of a new municipal swimming pool and spray park on the waterfront in Weehawken, she said.
